Product Description

Ethylenediamine (EDA), referred to as EDA, chemical formula C2H8N2, is a typical fatty diamine, colorless or slightly yellow oily or water-like transparent liquid, produces smoke in the air, has an ammonia-like odor, and has moisture absorption. Molecular weight 60.10, melting point 8.5ºC, spontaneous combustion point 385ºC. It is an alkaline substance, easily soluble in water, ethanol, slightly soluble in ether, unless absolutely dry, otherwise insoluble in benzene, and can form an azeotrope with water, n-butanol, toluene. Flammable in case of heat, open flame, oxidizer, moderate burning risk. Can be sterilized by high pressure or filtration.
Ethylenediamine can be used in the manufacture of fuels, rubber vulcanization accelerators, drugs, solvents such as fibrin, emulsifiers, epoxy resin curing agents and intermediates in the manufacture of insulating paints and coatings. Ethylenediamine can be absorbed through the digestive tract, respiratory tract and skin. The vapor has a strong stimulating effect on the skin mucosa and nasal mucosa, and the liquid has a corrosive effect and a sensitizing effect.
