Production method
Hot polymerization: the C9 fraction is heated to about 260 ° C in the reactor, and the Diels-Alder addition intermediate is formed from the molecules of two polymers, and then reacts with the molecules of another polymer component to generate two free radicals, and then leads to polymerization. The process is simple and the yield is high, but the reaction temperature is high, the energy consumption is large, the coke is easy, the resin produced is dark in color and the product grade is low.
Catalytic polymerization: is a cationic addition polymerization reaction, C9 monomer under the action of the catalyst, the formation of carbocation active center, leading to chain polymerization. This is the earliest and most widely used method in the synthesis of petroleum resins.
Free radical polymerization: Due to the existence of a large number of unsaturated bonds (lone pair electrons) in the C9 component molecules, free radicals are formed under the action of the initiator, and chain polymerization is triggered, and solid inhibitor is added to the synthesis product to terminate the reaction.
Application field
Coating industry: can be combined with other resins, all or part of the replacement of high-priced resins, reduce costs, improve product luster, hardness, water resistance, stability and chemical resistance and other properties.
Adhesive industry: mainly plays a role in providing adhesion, which can improve the adhesion stability, creep resistance, heat resistance and other properties of the polymer.
Rubber industry: mainly used as rubber softening additives, can make styrene butadiene rubber has good viscosity and softening, but also reduce the amount of natural rubber or synthetic rubber, reduce costs.
Ink industry: It has good compatibility with many components in ink, can maintain the stable dispersion state of pigments for a long time, and can also play the role of color formation, fast drying, brightening, and improve printing performance.
